SL Mobile Diversified Growth Fund
The investment objective of the Fund is to provide long term investment growth, but with lower volatility than investing purely in company shares over the long term. To meet this aim, the Fund holds one or more diversified growth funds.  These funds may invest in assets such as equities, bonds, money market instruments and alternative assets, from both the UK and overseas. The managers allocate the fund between the different assets depending on how they expect them to perform and how risky those assets are.

You must decide where to invest all of your contributions (so you can’t choose to invest half in the Cash Fund and then not make a choice for the remaining half). Remember, you can spread your investment across all the funds, or invest all your contributions in just 1.

BlackRock UK Equity Fund

Invests in the shares of UK companies and aims to match the return of the FTSE All-Share Index. The FTSE All-share Index represents the average performance of the UK’s biggest companies. For more information see the fund fact sheet.

 

BlackRock (50:50) Global Equity Fund

Invests in the shares of companies around the world. The fund has approximately half invested in the shares of UK companies and half invested in overseas companies (split equally between the US, the rest of Europe and the Pacific Rim). Veritas Global Focus Fund

Invests in the shares of companies around the world and aims to achieve a return that is higher than the market on average (as measured by the MSCI World Index). The MSCI World index represents the average performance of the world’s biggest companies. For more information see the fund fact sheet.

 

BlackRock UK Focus Fund

Invests in shares of UK companies and aims to achieve a return that is higher than the market on average (as measured by the FTSE All-Share Index). The FTSE All-share Index represents the average performance of UK’s biggest companies. For more information see the fund fact sheet.

 

Sharia compliant – HSBC Amanah Fund

Invests in the shares of companies around the world that are engaged in Sharia-compliant activities. This fund is approved by a Sharia Supervisory Committee and is therefore compliant with Islamic law. The fund aims to match the return of the Dow Jones Islamic Titans Index. The Dow Jones Islamic Titans Index represents the average performance of around 100 companies that comply with Shariah Law. For more information see the fund fact sheet.

 

BlackRock Over 5 Year Index-linked Gilt Index Fund

Invests in index-linked bonds issued by the UK Government (known as gilts). Gilts are essentially loans to the Government who promises to repay the money at an agreed time and to pay interest in the meantime. ‘Index-linked’ means that the interest and repayments are increased with inflation.

 

The fund aims to match the FTSE UK Gilts Index-Linked Over 5 Years Index. This index represents the average return on long-term, inflation linked, Government debt. For more information see the fund fact sheet.

 

BlackRock Over 15 Year Corporate Bond Fund

Invests in bonds issued by companies with a high credit rating. Corporate bonds are essentially loans to companies who promise to repay the money at an agreed time and to pay interest in the meantime.

 

The fund aims to match the return of the iBoxx Non – Gilts, Over 15 Years Index. This index represents the average return on bonds issued by companies, with a maturity period of 15 years or longer. For more information see the fund fact sheet.

 

BlackRock Diversified Growth Fund

Invests in a variety of investments including shares, bonds, property and cash. The manager allocates the fund between the different assets depending on how they expect them to perform and how risky those assets are.

Standard Life Deposit and Treasury Fund

The fund’s main aim is to protect the value of your money. It makes loans for short periods to achieve a return similar to a bank savings account.

 

Standard Life does not guarantee the value of your savings in this fund, there could be circumstances where the value of your savings fall. For example, if there is a default by one of the banks where some of the money is held or if the interest on the loans is so low that it is less than the charges applied to the fund.
