Death after leaving Telefonica

-

If you die before retirement, once you have left Telefónica, the Trustee can use their discretion to use your retirement account to pay a lump sum to your dependants.

If you die before retirement, but you have left your benefits in the Plan, a pension will be paid to your spouse or Adult Dependant equal to 50% of the pension you would have received. Dependant children's pensions may also be available.

Depending on the section of the final salary scheme you belonged to, a lump sum may also be payable.

If you also built up DC benefits whilst working at Telefónica, then a discretionary lump may be payable in addition to the benefits above.
